Pyjamas for work? It could be a trend

Dave Lackie, Financial Post Published: Saturday, December 27, 2008
We've seen hints of this pyjama trend before," says Brian Boye, fashion director at Men's Health magazine. "But for spring, menswear designers referenced PJs in ways that are much more wearable."

Fellow Ital ian Giorgio Armani offered his own take on the pyjama theme with navy flowing silk pants paired with a Henley-styled top. Occasionally, the designer added an unstructured jacket, but with loose silk tops and flowing pants.

Tomas Maier, designer for the Bottega Venata label, paired off-white pyjama-style pants with black or navy blazers that looked more like sweaters. Again, loose and flowing.
Not to be outdone, American designer Thom Browne sent a full-length bathrobe down the runway emblazoned with tennis racquet motifs.
