That is the cost to rent it per night. It is not yours to keep.

FlyerTalk member cleverly deduced the cost of the bathrobe in "The case of the $140 bathrobe" at a hotel property in California, where it is not actually the cost of renting the bathrobe, but rather the result of calculating the difference between room rates on different days where one rate includes the bathrobe but the other does not.

Well, at least one will earn the appropriate amount of "rewards" points for renting this bathrobe. Isn’t that what is truly important anyway?!?

This leaves one to wonder how much the bathrobe would cost if one actually purchased it.

Maybe they should have checked out the prices at Towelbathrobe.com For the amount of $140 you could get 4-5 bathrobes!

On March 17, 2009, Fox Home Entertainment will release The Robe (Special Edition) on DVD and Blu-ray. One of the best Biblical epics of all time, based on a best-selling novel by Lloyd C. Douglas, the film tells the story of a Roman centurion named Marcellus Gallio (Richard Burton) who is sent to Jerusalem, charged with overseeing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It will contain bonus materials and extra features, and the DVD will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $19.98, while the Blu-ray will run for the MSRP of $34.99.

Staff at the Radisson SAS hotel in Liverpool held their ground when a Japanese David Beckham fan offered to buy the soccer star's used bathrobe for £1,000. Radisson manager thought anyone wanting to pay £1,000 for a bathrobe was nuts-- doesn't matter who wore it. Out of respect for Becks and other celebs, the manager refused to sell the robe. Beckham and his teammates stayed at the hotel for three nights before playing Uruguay March 2006. Now that the hotel knows the robe's true worth, maybe it will be framed and displayed in the lobby.

Justin Timberlake says removing his bathrobe is all it took to convinced Beyonce to let him do the spoof of her "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" music video on SNL last fall. In an interview on Katie Couric's pre-Grammy special on CBS, Timberlake says Beyonce wasn't convinced that he'd be able to pull off dancing in a skimpy costume and high heels. So he stopped by her dressing room and took off his bathrobe, leaving him in just a leotard and a pair of pumps. According to Timberlake, Beyonce was completely caught off guard and said, "I can't look anywhere but your face right now." Timberlake also talks about his mother's reaction to his spoof, costarring Andy Samberg. He says, "You gotta meet my mom. She's a pretty edgy chick!" Timberlake says when it come to acting, he just tries to have fun, explaining, "I have a day job, so acting becomes a hobby that I can really plunge into with full creative eagerness."
